Pinion Swap ?:
Have you ever needed to replace the motor in your Speed 480 gearbox ? Is the price of a motor with the pinion already fitted more than twice the price of the motor ?
Of course this procedure can be used to remove the pinion from any motor. I have even removed the brass pump drives from small motors and fitted them into children's model boats as these motors have such a low current drain !

When I have more time I will improve the layout of this page to make the writing easier to read !
e-mail me if you have any questions !
Unfortunately, due to a recent meltdown, all my pictures that were in my computer are gone.
I will have to create this page again from scratch, with new drawings etc. but I did learn a lesson, so I bought a cd-rewriter - now I can now store everything on discs ! The other day I pulled apart a green R/C Tonka car that was donated to me. ( Didn't work at all ! ) I now have eight 'new' AA nicads and a Speed400 motor, complete wth flux ring, capacitors and a nasty little 8-tooth brass pinion. Guess what I did ? Hehehe ! Where's my next Twin project ? Hehehe !
